Problem conetecting to wireless
Closed
Hello,
I have just changed wireless Network provider to BT and whilst 2 of the newer laptops have connect no problem once I have put in the security key the 2 other lap tops are showing the message " The connection was cancelled this might be due to timeout or user action" Any ideas how I get round this problem?
These laptops have Windows Vista and are about 4 years old.
Much appreciated.

Did you try deleting your wireless profiles and creating one
Go to start and type
manage wireless profiles and press enter
Remove the existing one and create a new wireless profile

Are you using a WPA or WPA2 key?
Vista>> WPA/WPA2 always had issues.
Does those laptops connect without a security ? Did you uncheck MAC authentication.
