Hello, 
Perhaps someone could tell me under primary ide master if my device should say. Cdrom? I just got this avio from family and it needs fine tuning and also sound mixers are not working if u know how to factory reset that would also be really useful since I do not have a default restore disc.  Vaio. Vgc-ra834g
Is computer.

It does no harm if the CDROM is Master and the Hard disk is Slave. It's a simple switch on the IDE cable and does not effect the speed or anything else.

OK cool but I'm unclear why my main drive variable is I: I know its not that big of a deal ...as for resetting it to factory defaults anyone? I really want it reset so I canmake original backup
