Restore laptop w/o enter key

Hello,
a friend of mine has a dell running on windows vista, that he wants restored to factory settings....i reboot, press F8 to get to the proper screen, everything goes great...only problem is that the enter key doesnt work!!! i can go down to the right option but i can't press enter...help please!!! is there a way to reset it without going through the dos prompt? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Greetings,

when you start up your computer is tap the F6, push F8 it will open a program in the boot manager to give the option for a factory reset.
