Hello,

My laptop won't charge - it was plugged in yesterday and the icon that shows that the battery is charging suddenly disappeared. I wiggled it and it reappeared temporarily, but then went back to standard battery usage and unable to charge from the mains. The battery is now flat and I can't get it to charge at all. Do I need a new battery or charger. The rectangle box on the charger must have power going through as there is a green light on there. Sorry not great with jargon!

Thanks

You might have a bad plug in the laptop. If you "wiggled" the cord where it plugs into the laptop you might have broken the connection between the plug and the motherboard. This is a weak spot that often breaks. Fixing it requires a partial dis assembly of the laptop case and some soldering. Things best left to professional computer repair shops.

hi the same thing happened to my acer aspire one, it's the charger. I recently bought a new charger, and now my computer works fine.
