Studio 1555 with windows vista home premium

Hello,
i have a dell studio 1555 laptop that i am trying to restore to factory, and i restart and hit f8 then i go to repair computer but it dosen't give me a option to select a language it just loads to my log in screen so i do, but it dosen't pop up a screen to select system restore from. i would appreciate any help i can get. thank you.

If C drive is your OS,and D is your recovery partition

Do you have a OS CD?


If yes insert it,press any key on bootup

Wait for MENU

You should see two options:install and repair your computer

click on repair computer

Select command prompt

Then type this on the command prompt :

imagex /apply d:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\

This will start the recovery

Restart after recovery gets completed
