Hello, I'm having a problem with my pc. I turned my pc on and received a message about data compactness test or sth like that. I usually skip this test but this time i decided to wait and see what the problem was, it was quick save game file and it was fixed in step two. After the step 3 of 3 there was another action this time concerning some libraries (not sure if erasing them or else). It was taking too long so i cut the power off, after i did that and turned pc on again boot menu appeared all of sudden. I chose to run windows normally, the loading bar appeared normally, unfortunately, few seconds later blue screen appeared and it was displayed too short for me to read, just a blink of an eye, then my pc rebooted unreasonably. I tried safe mode and system restoring but it failed in the same moment prompting the same thing. My processor is pentium IV, service pack 3. I'd be grateful if you could hint me what to do, thanks!

Hello,

I sure would like you, with the help of someone if necessary, if you can tell me the 10 caracter error code you are getting on the blue screen.

It always begins with 0x000

You never mention which Windows version you run.

Regards

Hi

The error code in question signals a NTFS file manager problem.

To solve the issue, Microsoft has issued the following solution:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/228888

Good luck

Thanks for providing the information, however this support page refers to windows 2000, I assume that you've taken into account that I'm running on win xp pro and I will proceed anyways.

Sorry but you have never mentioned, as I asked you before, what version of Windows you are running.

From what I gathered the support page I gave you is also good for XP.

Hi I tried to record this blue screen so that i could say whats on it. The error message contained those 0x00 lines:
*** STOP : 0x00000024 (0x00190203 , 0x8A756EF0 , 0xC0000102 , 0x00000000 )

Not sure if this is all correct because i use my mobile to access net, also my system is windows xp professional. Hope that helps.
