driver installation failed Closed

Question

Hello,  
after i formatted my compaq laptop prasario C 500and tried installing sound driver i got the following msg  
"driver installation failed : could not find the MEDIA DEVICE for this driver"  
plz help

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Install the chipset driver first

Then go here

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Download the UAA driver,Restart your PC

Install your audio driver now

Driver installation failed
