Hello,
I had a PC running windows XP and have bought a new laptop running Vista.
My laptop came with a 3 month student trial of microsoft office, which I have been using to create and save word documents.
Now that the trial period is up, I have tried to copy Microsoft Office version 11 across but without success.
I keep getting the error message "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application."
I there any way round this?
As a student I cannot afford to download the software from microsoft or lose my work.
Hope someone can help.

Download OpenOffice3. it's free and will do 99% of the things Microsoft Office will do. You can't COPY an application from one computer to another. You must have the original CD to INSTALL the application. Microsoft allows you to install Office on two computers so you may have that option if you can get the install CD. Good Luck
