Hello,
so recently my computer's sound has stopped working. I cant even get the sound to work from the headphone jack. Every time I open itunes or youtube or something that produces sound my speakers freak out and start making things weird beeping sound or what sounds like a blown speaker, but that is impossible because i rarely use my speakers. I would preferably like to get the headphone jack working... anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

The first thing to try is a Windows restore to a date before the problem started. If that doesn't work you can delete the audio hardware from the "control Panel" and restart Windows. This will let Windows find the audio hardware and reinstall the software. This assumes that the hardware is OK and this is just a software problem.
