My cd drive will not play anything... Closed

Question

My cd drive (Sony CD-ROM CDU5221) will not play anything, game or movie. I tried the fix it tool, but it didn't work. There were 3 things I tried, all I knew to work, but they didn't work. 2 I remember, they were portal 2 and Green Lantern.

my OS is Windows XP
