Satellite Closed

Question

I just want to restore a couple days back.  It gave me an option of one day back which I used but it still isn't responding.  The only new thing I did was put a Sony camera CD for pictures and then downloaded the upgrade.  It doesn't perform at all now.  
It loads and go to the main screen but then I can't do anything.  It's locked and freezes.
How do I go back a couple days now?  I don't want a complete system restore?
