Enter key not working

Hello,

my enter key stopped working- i sane post that said to press crl alt fn i did and what happened is when i wrote lets say in the url bar (the space where you wright the website you want to go to and then pressed the above keys along with enter it worked but for documents it wont work to get to the next line and the enter key sitll isnt working on its own
weird
