USB works on one laptop, but on NO other compClosed

Hello, 
I have a generic 256 GB thumb drive,, It works on my laptop,, But ON NO other computer, It shows up,, but when you double click it,, it comes up with a "format " window,, It asks if you want to format it,, if you say "yes", it is nhjot able to format.   However, if I put it on my laptop, which has a 32 bit Windows 7 version,, it allows my computer to format it...
It shows up and it allows me to open and tranfer files,,,

Any Ideas here?




Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0
