Hello,

could you please tell me how I get excel to automatically use a color in a cell that I write something into? The blank ones can remain colorless but I want a color in a cell that contains something.

Hi DG83,

Click on the spot to the left of the column letter A and above the row number 1 to select all cells (or Ctrl+A).
Goto conditional format:
First dropdown list: cell value is
Second dropdown list: not equal to
Third area: =""
Apply your format and confirm your actions.
