how did you try to install Ash?
* Through windows Itself? (you booted XP and then put in the CD and install)
or
* At Boot (Change the BIOS settings to boot from CD and install at boot)
To answer your question we need more info, like when exactly does the PC restart? and the method you are trying to install.
