Mac just keeps asking for password

Hello,
I have recently purchased a mackbook pro and it has a password on it, everytime I press command and s it just goes back to the enter password screen. I do not have a disc to reset it please could u help

You might try the procedure here. (Command +s only works right after the startup of the computer)
