Audio is not working after,driver instalation

Hello,
I have installed the Windows Professional SP3 to my system after formating the hard disk,
I downloaded the audio driver from HP website by giving my system model name HP workstation xw4100 but still my audio is not working.
Can anybody please suggest me what could be the problem and how can i resolve this.?

I assume you installed Windows XP. I would double check that you downloaded XP drivers and not Vista or Windows 7 drivers.
