Reading no audio output device installed

Hello,
my system is reading no audio output device installed. but i have installed
and re-installed many a time. im just tired here. done lot of things in the services and also in the update driver, also enabled and disabled sound but still no audio fort coming. please suggest solution for my pc vista home basic

Hi,

Go to your device manager, locate your sound card and delete it. Reboot your system and it will be detected as new hardware. Now update the driver.

If the above fails, your sound card is fried.
