Sims 3 causing SAME problem for multiple ppl.Closed

Why do WE the consumer have to go through such lengths to enjoy a video game that we PURCHASED from a Million (Billion?) dollar corporation?  Can't their techs/developers/executive assistants come up with a patch?  A download?  SOMETHING that will eliminate a problem that their product is causing to their customers?
