Files on my PC are hidden

Hello,

my files on my PC are hidden even when i go to control panel and select show hidden files,
i can see them when i use a HD recovery tool but that didn't help and my PC boots up with a blue screen and when i do a system recovery from the start-up i can log in but my files are still gone, it also shows my HD space increased like my files where deleted. Please help me....Thanks

Hello,

Try this 1

If that particular drive properties is showing you the correct size then check if

the files are not in hidden mode.

Click on Start --> Run --> Type control folders and press Enter.

[If you are using "Window Vista or 7" then click on

Start --> In search box, type control folders and press Enter]

"Folder Options" will be opened. Click on the "View" tab.

Select the option "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck the check box

"Hide protected operating system files" --> Click on OK.

Let me know if you are able to see all your hidden files.
