Speakers won't work.

Hello,

I recently connected my speakers to my computer and I updated my driver. It says the the speaker is connected yet when I play a video or song, I don't hear anything. I've restarted my computer multiple times, and I've also tried disabling audio for a while, then enabling it, and still nothing works. Please help me. I'm not very smart when it comes to computers.
