Hello,
We have an older (About five years) Toshiba Satellite. It was freezing up, and we couldn't figure out why. I finally noticed that it will only freeze up while running under adapter power. While only running on battery, it's fine. Plug in the power adapter, it freeves. Any help? Please.

I can offer no help other than the replacement of the power supply. Does it tend to hang-up after a set time? That would indicate an adapter failure due to heat build-up.

Good Luck

No. I can have it running on battery, doing fine. Plug in the adapter, it immediately freezes up. With the adapter plugged in, you can start it up and it will freeze at different stages, anywhere from after putting in password all the way up to actually performing a task. It has got to where it freezes up quicker than what it has though. You can run it in safemode with no problem. That's what puzzles me about it.
