Remote Desktop Vista Business Won't Connect Closed

Hello,

I recently purchased a small HP2133 mini laptop with Vista Business for work.  Everything works except for the remote desktop. To connect I am using the IP address followed with a colon and the firewall port to open the firewall at the office.  In doring so I receive the message "Unable to connect".  

I have a Toshiba Vista Home that connects via Remote Desktop with no problems.  I have mirrored the credentials and settings, still I am not able to connect via my Vista Business Platform.  

Any help to resolve this problem is greatly appreciated.

The best way to try this is to check your firewall at work as most business firewalls strip out automatically essential data for remote connection, also vista business send this information differently than other OS.

If this fails i would suggest spending the little money it costs on a VPN client, this is much more secure and trustworthy.
