Hi can someone please help me! I have a toshiba satellite C665 and I turned it on last night only for it to go to a start up screen that gives me an option to start in repair mode (recommended) or normally. I've tried both of the options but no matter what it does not load to the part where I need to put my password in, it just says repairing files and then after that goes to a black screen with just the mouse.. What can I do? What's wrong with my laptop? Will I lose all of my information on my laptop? Please help!

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and

keep tapping the F8 key)

2) Select the option "Last Known Good Configuration".

If the problem still exists then follow the step 1 and select the option "Safe Mode"

Let me know if you are able to boot into Safe Mode.

Good Luck

Hello,
I tried every option and nothing worked. I bought a box thing so that I could make my hard drive external to see if it started up but long story short my hard drive was corrupt and I had to buy a new hard drive which fixed everything. So I lost all my data. :(
