Hard drive recovery

Hello,



i have a 1 tb wd my book essentials.it got infected by some virus.now only the folders which were present are invisible.and files outside the folder are visible.the properties of the external drive show the data volume is still present but some how i cant access it.pls help..

it was showing the folders as shortcuts.i took the drive and scanned it on kaspersky antivirus.the virus was detected and cleaned.but now the folders(shorcut) is not visible only data that was stored outside folders is visible.
