Open documents from a flashdrive without one

Hello,

I need to open a document on a flash drive from a year ago. The problem is that I lost the flash drive. Is there any way I can retrieve it from my computer? I am on the same computer I used then. It was written in Microsoft Office Word 2003 and I have Windows Vista. If you could help, I would really appreciate it.

Try to do a search for ".doc".
That is the extension for Word documents.
All your .doc (s) and everything with DOC in its name will come up.
Hopefully the title of the document will trigger your memory.
