Problems related to updates of software

Hello friends,
I have Toshiba M300 satellite system.when ever I goes for updates, these gets failed with this error code (Windows Update error 80246008) further When I goes to help and support, follow the steps, I found Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is missing.
please help.

but I have already tried these step. BITS is missing. service is already started. please send me some other solutions.

Hello,
Try this 1
1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get "Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep tapping the F8 key)
2) Select the option "Repair Your Computer".

I have tried this many times but system miss it every time. Is there any other option to any other option to have "repair Computer Repair manually'?
