Hi there, I have an Dell Inspiron 1521 which I use when I need to work on a Wordperfect doc (I have a newer laptop that I did not install Wordperfect on). When I start computer, it lets me put in password but after that the welcome page comes on with the little circle going round but nothing happens. Have rebooted, taken out battery & tried that with same results. After some time, the screen then goes black with curser & circle still there. I did start in Safe mode but when I wanted to print, told me my printer wasn't there. I am hooked up on both my computers wireless. Unfortunately I need some of these Wordperfect documents so would appreciate any help. Thanks

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and

keep tapping the F8 key)

2) Select the option "Last Known Good Configuration".

Good Luck

Hi again, suggestion much appreciated, but unfortunately got the same results except shorter period of time to get the black screen. I can log in, screen says welcome, little circle starts to do it's thing then screen turns black with the curser sitting on the screen. Any other suggestions that might help? Have a call into a local techie but must be on holidays. Thanks
