Cursor problem

Hello,

I was helping my sister with her math. I went to type something into the google search engine and all the sudden my mouse froze. I tried to wiggle it but the mouse would not move. I had to plug in my wireless desktop mouse to continue helping my sister. I googled for help and i pressed fn f10+f9, i pressed fn f9, and i even took my battery out pressed the power button for 50sec, and then plugged it back in and powered it up. nothing has helped. i even went through the manual, and even asked toshipa online, i have not heard anything back. i have a toshiba satellite C850. please help me.
