I assume your Toshiba was running under XP
What is the 10 caracter error code starting with 0x on the blue screen?
(Good'ol Norton, they will do it to you all the time. If you wish to buy problems, buy a Symantec product)

Then you cannot use spotu,tool kit os,2 xp recovery discs they are totally incompatible.
I suggest that you restore to factory settings and flush Norton down the drain.
