Hello,
Confusing!
What disk? What is it that you want to format the disk or the card?

Hi mithun tyagi,
If you are trying to format the memory card from Windows Operating system, there are other ways to format it. However, before we proceed it is recommended that you check if the disc is read/write protected. There is a read/write protect head on some memory cards. See the image below to locate the lock on the drive, the lock is in white color on top right side in the image:

If the card is already unlocked you can format using the below mentioned steps:
1. Connect the SD Card Reader to your Computer (skip this step if your computer has a built-in SD Card slot).
2. Insert your SD Card into the SD Card reader/slot. You will hear a sound or a notification from the operating system indicating that something has been plugged in.
3. Double click My Computer/Computer icon on the Desktop and locate your SD Card. Make a note of the drive letter (e.g., E:\).
4. Click Start and then click Run. Type "cmd" and press enter. If you don't have the "Run" option in your Start Menu, click on the search bar in the start menu and type cmd and press enter.
5. In command prompt type the drive letter of the SD Card that you noted earlier (e.g., E:\) and press enter. Type "dir" and take a look at the files listed to make sure that this is in fact your SD Card.
6. Type "format E:\" (replacing E:\ with the drive letter of your SD Card) and press enter.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and the format should complete successfully.
If this doesn't fix the issue do reply with the exact error message.
