Hello, i am trying to install skype but it showing error 1601 "windows installer couldn't be accessed" when i tried to start my windows installer from services it says that"widows installer can't be started..can't find the file specified" plz help

This problem may occur if the Windows Installer files are damaged or missing. Download Windows Installer from the below mentioned link, install it and see if this fixes the issue:
