Driver help

Hello,

I recently rebooted my computer to factory settings. Acer notebook, 5250 Windows 7. Now I cannot get my card reader to read sd card, (which works on other pc) or get a cd or DVD to play. I can hear a sound that it recognizes it but never reads or plays.

please can you go to the following:

http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx

From here click on "Driver Downloads"

Select your laptop model

you will need to install the card reader drivers

are you trying to use windows media player to play DVDs?

Can you hear normal window sounds such as start up?

you may need to install the audio drivers too.
