I will compare the components side by side for your help:
Processor:
1. Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8700, Clock Speed - 2.53 GHz, L2 Cache - 3 MB
2. Intel® Core(TM) i3-330M Processor, Clock Speed - 2.13 GHz, Intel® Smart Cache - 3 MB
Intel® Core(TM) i3-330M Processor is of course a better choice you can check the below mentioned comparison sheet:

RAM (Memory):
Both of your chosen systems have 4 GB of memory which is a good amount.
Graphics:
GeForce GT 240M - this graphics card has accelerated GPU features in Windows 7, and built-in NVIDIA PhysX technology enabling hyper-realistic gameplay.( http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-240m
Hard Drive:
Hard Drives are 500 GB in both the computers so it will not make any difference.
If you are looking for a heavy duty laptop for work and home you can choose the one with Intel® Core(TM) i3-330M Processor. However, if you are looking for a gaming laptop, the one with GeForce GT 240M is a good one.
