i own a macbook laptop and I installed indows xp professional service pack 2 and there is a roblem with my audio drivers

                     I set my audio drivers with conexant high defination audio drivers on my compaq persario c795 TU but I cant see any functions of audio, when I mute the audio from volume control  I hear the sound I dont know how?.....& when I attach the Microphone I hear the sound from both laptop speakers & microphone please tell me the solution for this
