In my experience, you definitely need a third-party recovery program to recover all your data back and format this disk E to make it workable again.
You should search "recovery program" on the internet and select a reliable one.
Moreover, in order to recover your data completely, you should pay attention to a few tips:
1. Stop using this disk immediately to avoid overwriting the original data, which can make your data gone permanently.
2. Save your recovered data on a different disk in case of recovery failure.
3. Do not forget to format your disk to see whether it will work again.
4. Back up you data in the future in case of similar problem.
