First BackUp Attempt.

Hello,

I have a new trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2013 and new Western Digital My Passport portable Hard Drive.
I read about making an "Image" of the whole hard. That some recommend doing every six months or so. Then some schedule for "regular" backups .
So in order to do it right form the beginning, what do I do to start with?
Thanks.

P.S.
Should I stick with True Image, or the free editon of Paragon?

Hi jim2100,

It is good to use 3rd party software such as True Image Home 2013 or free edition of Paragon. However, it is recommended that you use Windows Backup utility; it is easier and safe to use. If you have not tried it yet, check the below mentioned link for steps on how to back up your computer:
