NO ICONS on Desktop

Hello,

I got a Dell Inspirion Laptop...at first it would not let my click on any of the icons or even the start menu, so restarted and now all icons are gone and it is just a clack screen. How do I get them back????

hiiiiiiiiiiiiii

just right click anywhr of ur desktop go to properties n go to Customise ur desktop , click chkbox n aply ok
