It sounds like when you "copied" the files from the computer to the pen stick you've accidentally created shortcuts rather then copying the files to the penstick.
Hense why when you go to open them in another computer they're not found.
the attributes are correct on the file, they're just shortcuts not actual files.
in future i suggest you highlight the files you want, right click and COPY. then PASTE them to your pen stick.
