Connecting to frdora 10 to internet

Hello,
I am very new to linux...and fedora..
just i hav installe fedora in my computer ..but i'm not able to connect net from my fedora OS..
do i need to do any special setup for the connection.
thanks in advance for the help.

You didn't say if you have a modem or a broadband connection.
Most modems that come with Windows computers are "WinModems" that rely on the Windows driver program to do the needed processing. Many of these modems do NOT have Linux drivers. Some have drivers but they are not free. So they are not not in the Linux distribution.
The Ethernet port is similar as some cards do not have Linux drivers.
Wireless cards are a bigger problem with many cards not being supported by Linux.
I would check the status of your hardware to see if you have a missing driver problem. If you do, a Linux forum might be the best place to find a solution.
