Write Protected Pen Drive

Hello,

I got an 8gb Sony Pen Drive free with my Sony 3D TV. It came pre-loaded with MIB 3D movie. I tried to delete the movie files from the pen drive, and tried formatting also. But I get this error - "The disk is write protected".

I am using Windows 8 and I have already tried the registry method. "StorageDevicesPolicies" is not there in the registry.

I have also tried low level formatting. Still, no solution.

Please help me in removing write protection from my pen drive.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. However, as I've mentioned in my query, I have already tried this method. "StorageDevicePolicies" is not there in the registry.

My pen drive came write protected from the company itself.
