Alright, Myself and cousin built a desktop over the last few months. It has:
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 AMD motherboard;
AMD quad core CPU;
Thermaltake full tower;
8G RAM;
600W power supply;
300G HDD;
Nvidia 520 GPU;
We got it to boot up and it runs windows 7 home premium just fine but couldn't connect to the internet. We found out that we needed drivers for everything before it would function properly. So I found the support disc that came with the motherboard and ran it. I selected to install all drivers and it said it would need to reboot twice. After it shut down the first time it became unresponsive. its just a black screen with the movable mouse arrow.
Did we do something wrong?

Hello,
Try this 1
1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get
"Windows Advanced Options Menu" options ( if boot menu appears, press "Esc"
key and keep tapping the F8 key)
2) Select the option "Last Known Good Configuration".
If the problem still exists then follow the step 1 and this time select the option
"Safe Mode". Try "System Restore".
Good Luck
