Hi,
This is just a query regarding the above mentioned CPU and what we would require to improve the CPU so that we have a machine that is able to perform as a PC Games Machine .i.e. improved visuals and processing power.
I know that one option would be to add RAM, the machines are running on 1G at the moment with the onboard RAM basically not working which leaves 2 slots spare. Your comments will be appreciated.

This PC was designed as a cheap Business machine and it will never be a GOOD gaming machine. You can update it's processor to a Intel something like a E8500 or a Q9500 and/or add a PCIe graphic card. But you need to be careful to not exceed the power limitations of its Power Supply and the cooling performance of its stock fans.
