No audio device

Hello,

I Have Xp on my laptop (dell inspiron M5010)...
1. I Haven't any sound, and there isnt the sound icon on taskbar
2. if i go to control panel in ''sounds and audio device'' , there is a message ''no audio device''
3. if i go to control panel in ''Administrative tools'' , in ''services'' , in ''windows audio'', the startup type is automatic
4. In Device manager , are all ok, except one... ''Audio Device on high definition audio bus''... i checked for this driver but i couldnt find anything..

Hello,

Try this 1

1) First make sure that "Windows Audio" status is "Started".

Right-click on it and click on "Start" to start it.

2) If the problem still exists then try reinstalling your audio drivers.

You can download the drivers from your manufacture's website.

Click on the below hyperlink "Drivers" and follow the onscreen instructions.

IN THE WEBSITE , THERE ARE DRIVERS, ONLY FOR BIOS, W7 AND VISTA.. NOT FOR XP

Install the above driver first and then install the audio driver.

It shows Error Window and say ''Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need ti install this update''
