I just installed a new WD Black hard drive on my computer as a second hard drive but the computer does not recognize it...I can't find it anywhere. The drive is running. I have gone into bios and it says both the sata ports are on. I have also tried 2 different sata cables. Can anyone help.

Hi,

Please check if the Hard Drive is detected in "Disk Management" in Windows. Check the below mentioned link for steps on how to access "Disk Management" in Windows 7:

If the Hard Drive is detected in the "Disk Management", try to format the Hard Drive as a "Logical Partition" and assign a "Drive Letter" to it. You can find steps on formatting and assigning a "Drive Letter" to the Hard Drive from the below mentioned link:

https://support-en.wd.com/

Note: The steps in the first link are specific to Windows 7. I have provided these steps because you have not mentioned the Operating System installed on your computer.

Do reply with results.
