Joy pad:usb malfunctions windows do not recognise it

Hello dude,
I borrowed my friend joy sticks usb pad to play my computer
games.
I inserted to windows 7 everything was working perfect
but when inserted it to windows xp it tells me
"usb mulfunctions window to do not recognise it".
so decided to insert to the windows 7 again it also
tell me the same problem as windows xp
"usb attached mulfunctions window to do not recognise it".
Please,what can i do to restore it back.

Hello,
Try this 1
First make sure that there is no device connected to USB port.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
[In Windows 7, click on Start --> In search bar, type devmgmt.msc and press
Enter.]
"Device Manager" will be opened.
Expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" by double-clicking on it or by clicking on
the "+". Now look only for the "Host Controllers". Right-click on it and select
uninstall. Uninstall all the "Host Controllers" and restart your PC.
