Black screen

Hi

So a couple of days ago, when I started my computer, HP Compaq G62, it worked but the screen stayed black. So I googled and found some solutions but none of them worked for me. But after I tried like 10-15 times to start my computer properly, the screen became normal again and nothing was wrong. After I closed it again, however, the same problem continued. And then it took like 10-15 times again and yet again it worked, properly. So what should I do? Is there anything I can do or should I just take it for repair?
