                    Go to the BIOS setup, & change the disk controller setting from AHCI to IDE. might worth the try. :)

Try this 1
If you are referring to the internal hard drive then check your connections.
Change the Data Cable and the Power Connector, go to BIOS and make sure
that it got detected. Also check your jumper settings.
