Hello

My HP pavilion dv4 entertainment PC running windows 8 has a black screen. It turns on fine the screen boots up and I can put in my password. I hear everything running and the lights come on but it has a black screen for windows 8. The only thing that comes up is the mouse. I tried using the HDMI and the same thing appears. Can anyone help me with this please?

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your laptop, start tapping the "F8" key to get "Startup

Settings" options ( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep tapping the

F8 key)

2) Select the option "Enable low-resolution video".

Good Luck

Follow the above Step 1.

When "Startup Settings" appears, press the "F10" key.
