Hello,
Try this 1
In Login Screen, click on "Can't access your account?" --> Enter your hotmail ID
and the given Captcha --> When "Reset your password" appears with two
options, click on "I can't use any of these options." --> Enter your another E-Mail
ID to contact you --> When the form appears, fill all the details. Make sure you
provide correct information.
Note : No need of filling "Billing info".
Good Luck

thanks for the reply. I had been already went by this path. every time I got email from Microsoft that my provided information is insufficient. I only remember my last password and few frequently used email addresses. I forget my secrete question answer. plz suggest something else.

If you have entered the incorrect E-Mail ID then "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again". OR The E-Mail ID might have been deleted.
Let me know when you have last accessed your account.

a year back when I was asked by some friend its spamming from my account I tried to login but couldn't

Try this 1
Sorry to say, your account might have been removed. If a user is not using his account for a very long time, first it will be deactivated and then after the given grace period the account will be removed. That's the reason why you are getting "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again". Try entering a valid E-Mail ID, you won't be getting that error message.

i have another hotmail account which is not reported as invalid but when i provide information icluding recently used email addresses email subjects and password.. and i dont remember other details. but microsoft tells that its not enough information . what should i do???

You other account is not getting the error message " "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again"" because it might not have been completely removed. But only Microsoft team can help you in this because they can have an access to your account. You need to provide as much as information as you can. But you failed to use the account for almost an year. So it might be been deleted and that's the reason you are getting the error message " "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again" If you don't sign in to your Hotmail account for more than 30 days then all messages,contacts etc are deleted and will remain deactivated. If the account still stays inactive for a further 90 days then they will delete the account permanently.
